The Norris Museum, St Ives - plenty of space for cycle parking, but none provided.

Cycle parking in the centre of St Ives

It's hard to see where the Cyclists Dismount sign is supposed to apply - in any case St Ives's cyclists happily whizz along here towards Crown Walk and Warners Park

There's a large car park and no sign of cycle parking at the NHS St Ives Clinic

I don't think that's meant to be a cycle stand, but there's nothing else at the NHS St Ives Clinic

No Cycling on this paved footpath to the Hemingfords

Cyclists on NCN route 51 towards the Busway should turn left here before the roundabout.

They really don't want cycling on this paved footpath to St Ives

Odd - there was no indication of a shared-use path until it suddenly ended.

Odd - we haven't got to St Ives yet, and there's a sign on the wrong side of the road for Fenstanton and Cambridge.

Paved link from NCN route 51 - there's a barrier at the end, but no reason why this should be a footpath only.

It's definitely necessary to dismount to wheel your bike under the barrier. Trikes etc need not try.

Road closure in the centre of St Ives - on NCN route 51

In these warmer times, it's good to note that solid surfaces make all the diferences to cycle access. The river is still running high (although this is from a few weeks back). #Hemingfords #Houghton @HoughtonMillNT https://t.co/BA3rzR4szL

Encountering some traffic along NCR 51, while passing through some very pretty grazing land. The pathway is fairly high quality, seems to be newer in the eastern section than the western part. The entrances to the path on either side are ... [more]

The Thicket is a lovely path through some forested area of St Ives. Very popular with people walking and cycling, sometimes to the point of overflowing on nice days (we managed to find a quieter section). The pathway was resurfaced & widene ... [more]

Lovely pathway between the Houghton Mill (National Trust site) and NCR 51. Looks like it has been recently resurfaced and widened. Land is under private ownership and path is permissive. Being in a flood plain it is occasionally impassable ... [more]

When this bypass was built in 1973 there were no cycleways, but they had been on 1957 plans. http://t.co/wicJXX8opv http://t.co/GpuZRrQLsC
