25263Photo #25263There is a short section of non-cyclepath between the cyclepath at The Dragoon pub on Buckden Rd, Brampton and the cycle path on Thrapston Rd. Cycle commuters and school children travelling between RAF Brampton and Huntingdon are forced to ride along a very busy narrow road (which is used as a short cut to and from the A1 South). Due to the numbers of Hinchingbrooke students using this route to school, traffic is frequently held up by large groups of cyclists, which no doubt frustrates commuting drivers. Converting this stretch of path to a combined pedestrian/cyclepath would make a significant contribution to local road safety,Obstruction:

(There's a short section at the St Ives end which is still under construction, whilst a long section closer to Houghton is as bumpy and muddy as always - it's not obvious whether there are plans to improve that)
