This path is always overgrown with brambles and now has large cracks in. Again I have reported to the council but they are supposedly not at intervention level despite them being wide enough for a road bike wheel to get stuck.

There are several small but deep holes in this cycle path, I have reported to the council several times but they say they are not at intervention level yet. I am not sure what intervention level would be as they could easily cause an accide ... [more]

Old exclusionary barriers on the tunnel where the former A14 separates the southern part of Fenstanton from the rest of the village

Since when have market stalls been allowed to be erected on cycle lanes?

No dropped kerb at the start of this shared-use footway and link to the new development - tokenism, in other words.

Dropped kerb needed at this cut-through in Fenstanton

Farmer says you shall not pass!

Dropped kerb needed at the entry to Warners Park, St Ives

The cycle path along this section of the guided busway is covered in leaves and branches. It needs clearing.

Hazardous leaf litter has accumulated between St Ives guided busway and Fen Drayton lakes nature reserve on teh cycleway. Surface very treacherous and slippery - difficult to control cycle and collision with pedestrians is real as a result. ... [more]

There is extensive leaf litter and fallen branches between this point and the Fenstanton bus stop for all us cyclists using the Guided Bus cyclepath. It is worse than unacceptable, it is now dangerous, especially at night!

Poor access to Priory Park, St Neots

Appalling finish, just as we saw in Orchard Park, North Cambridge - no access for wheelchairs or buggies, let alone cycling

Poor provision for cyclists (despite the route sign)

The pedestrianised main shopping street of Huntingdon - cycles only permitted 4pm-10am, it seems.

Poor cycle access to Godmanchester bridge - sudden end of shared-use path.

What happens when incompetent planners and developers build a cycleway and then fail to provide access to it.

What happens when incompetent planners and developers build a cycleway and then fail to provide access to it.

The developers have planted a hedge to block access to the cycleway.

The cycle route along the A1 from Buckden to Little Paxton has one kerb, at the point marked, which is not lowered. It is very frustrating when you have to slow considerably, just as you come down the slope, to continue up the hill towards ... [more]

Bridge very dangerous to cycle over. Very narrow, on a hill and a blind corner. [There's now a cycle path avoiding this bridge]

There is a short section of non-cyclepath between the cyclepath at The Dragoon pub on Buckden Rd, Brampton and the cycle path on Thrapston Rd. Cycle commuters and school children travelling between RAF Brampton and Huntingdon are forced to ... [more]

Road width restriction because of overhanging trees. If you have to ride within 4 feet of the edge of the road the tree branches catch your face!! Richard Howitt.

overhanging tree branches on an already narrow road make cycling quite dangerous at this point. I have reported it to the Parish Council but no action has been taken. Richard Howitt

At Station Road, new construction, only guided buses to be allowed to proceed across the bypass road to the park and ride site and on towards Cambridge. A car trap to be installed. Cycles apparently to join the footway here, to cross the by ... [more]

St Ives bypass, at guided bus and cycle route crossing, P+R site behind camera. Here and elsewhere in this development the shared-use footway is faulty, with lamp columns and signposts obstructing a too-narrow surface, and right-angle turns ... [more]

Soon after the worryingly narrow footway on the Ouse Viaduct (photo 18875) the route reaches the eastbound bus stops as a 3m width shared use footway. (Cycle parking is provided on the other side of the busway, off-camera to right.) The pin ... [more]

Footpath on the former railway from Somersham to Chatteris - hardly suitable for cycling either.

This gap is just wide enough for me to squeeze through with my wide BikeE seat.

Chicane on narrow footpath.

It was very difficult to get my bike through this gap.

Ouse Valley Way

A horribly inconvenient stile - hostile.

I remember this rather cycle unfriendly obstruction from a year ago. As I dismounted to push my bike under the bar some dog walkers looked at me, and I sensed they wanted to tell me I wasn't allowed to cycle along here.
